From scoring braces against Fenerbahçe to cradling a newborn – Victor Osimhen is having the week of his life! The Super Eagles talisman has just become a father for the second time, and Galatasaray fans are buzzing for more than just goals.

Goals on the pitch, joy at home. What a season Victor Osimhen is having! Super Eagles and Galatasaray hitman Victor Osimhen and his partner, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, have welcomed their second child – a beautiful baby girl named Liora Audrey, reports cbinewstv.com.

The Turkish champions confirmed the heart-warming news via their official channels with a touching message: Our Football A Team player Victor Osimhen and Stefanie have welcomed a baby girl into the world. We congratulate the couple, Victor and Stefanie; we wish their newborn baby Liora Audrey a long, healthy, and happy life!”

The Human Angle:

More Than Just Football. For those who have followed Victor's journey, this hits differently. This is not just any footballer. This is the boy from Olusosun, Lagos, who sold pure water on the streets of Lagos, lost his mother at a young age, and fought his way to become Africa's Footballer of the Year in 2023. Liora Audrey is his second daughter, joining big sister Hailey, who was born in October 2022.

For Osimhen, who has always been fiercely private and family-oriented, fatherhood has been his anchor . And what makes this even more emotional? It comes just weeks after Stefanie escaped unharmed from a minor three-vehicle accident in Istanbul. A scare that could have ended badly has now turned into double Thanksgiving. You could see what it means to him. On Thursday, Osimhen stayed back in Istanbul to be with Stefanie and his girls, choosing family first before rejoining the Galatasaray squad ahead of their clash with Konyaspor. That tells you everything about the man.

Why It Matters

In an era where footballers are often in the news for controversies, Osimhen represents something else – discipline, family, and focus. Background data shows why he is so loved in Turkey: Since joining Galatasaray, initially on loan from Napoli in 2024, he has become a cult hero. He led them to the Süper Lig title last season and has started this season like a house on fire . As of this week, he is joint-top scorer in the Turkish Süper Lig with 8 goals in just 7 league games, including that stunning brace against arch-rivals Fenerbahçe earlier this week. For context, he scored 26 goals to win the Turkish Golden Boot last season and 26 in Serie A to win Napoli the Scudetto in 2022/23 – the first African to win the Capocannoniere. When your star man is happy at home, he is lethal on the pitch. Galatasaray knows this.

EXPLAINER:

Who is Stefanie Kim Ladewig? For new fans, Stefanie is not just "Osimhen's partner." The German-Cameroonian beauty, who is often spotted in the stands with little Hailey, has been with Victor since his Wolfsburg days in Germany back in 2017. She is a chef and entrepreneur and has been his rock through injuries, a horrific facial fracture in 2021, and that big-money move from Lille to Napoli and now to Turkey. They have built a quiet, strong family away from the noise of social media. A nd the name Liora? It is of Hebrew origin, meaning "My Light." Audrey means "Noble Strength." My Light, My Strength. Perfect for a striker's daughter, no?

What Next?
