The Caledonian Charity Cup makes a welcome return to the
Golf Section of Ikoyi Club 1938 on Friday, 30 October 2026, bringing together
golfers, corporate organisations, and supporters for a day of sporting
excellence, philanthropy, and fellowship.
Organised by the Lagos Caledonian Society (LCS), the 18-hole charity golf
tournament aims to raise funds for charitable initiatives and worthy causes.
This year’s net proceeds will be donated directly to Foster Paradise Homes, a
Lagos State-registered orphanage dedicated to caring for orphans, abandoned
children, and vulnerable young people across urban and rural communities.
The return of the Caledonian Charity Cup to Ikoyi Club 1938 reflects the
longstanding Scottish tradition of harnessing sport, community, and fellowship
to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Rooted in the charitable
spirit associated with Scotland’s heritage, the tournament demonstrates how
sporting events can serve as powerful platforms for social impact.
*25 TEAMS, ONE COMMON PURPOSE*
In a show of enthusiasm and commitment to the charitable cause, 25 teams have
registered to participate in this year’s competition. Each team bears the name
of a Scottish town or location with golfing connections, celebrating Scotland’s
rich golfing heritage.
Participating teams include Team Milngavie, Gullane, Carnoustie, Traigh,
Aberdour, Dundee, North Berwick, Lossiemouth, Cruden Bay, Musselburgh,
Askernish, Kirkcudbright, Shiskine, Auchterarder, Dalmahoy, Dornoch,
Machrie, Lundin Links, Powfoot, Machrihanish, Monifieth, Kilspindie, and
Blairgowrie.
The tournament will adopt a shotgun start format, enabling teams to compete
simultaneously across the course in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere.
Following the competition, participants and guests will gather at the clubhouse
for a celebratory luncheon, awards ceremony, and live auction. Trophies and
prizes will be presented to the winning teams, while the auction will provide an
additional opportunity to support the tournament’s charitable objectives.
*CORPORATE PARTNERS UNITE FOR A WORTHY CAUSE*
The Caledonian Charity Cup is supported by an impressive group of corporate
partners whose contributions are helping to deliver the event and advance its
charitable mission.
The supporting partners and their respective categories are:

Their collective support underscores the importance of corporate social
responsibility, and the role businesses can play in addressing the needs of
vulnerable members of society.
*TURNING SPORTING EXCELLENCE INTO SOCIAL IMPACT*
Through this friendly competition and the generosity of its corporate partners,
the Lagos Caledonian Society, working with Concierge Sports as Event
Manager, seeks to transform the excitement of the golf course into tangible
support for children and young people who need it most.
Beyond the trophies, prizes, and camaraderie, the defining measure of success
will be the positive difference the tournament makes in the lives of the
beneficiaries at Foster Paradise Homes. The Caledonian Charity Cup therefore represents more than a day of golf. It is
a celebration of Scottish heritage, community spirit, corporate partnership, and
the shared responsibility to build a more compassionate society.
On Friday, 30 October 2026, every drive, every putt, and every contribution will help make a difference
